Ongoing Flooring Collaborations | Suites, Ballroom & Restaurant

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Hotel Café Royal, one of London’s most iconic five-star hotels, located on Regent Street. Our work has spanned multiple areas of the hotel, including a selection of luxury suites, the Pompadour Ballroom, and the Oscar Wilde Lounge (formerly restaurant), all of which are part of a Grade II listed building with rich architectural heritage.

Given the historically sensitive nature of the property, our approach has always been guided by a deep respect for its classical character. We designed and manufactured traditional wood flooring to complement and preserve the building’s historic value, while enhancing the elegance and atmosphere of each space.

In most suites, the ballroom, and the Oscar Wilde Lounge, we installed warm-toned herringbone flooring—a timeless pattern that blends seamlessly with the hotel’s period architecture. The tone and layout were chosen to honour the traditional interiors while still meeting the needs of a modern five-star setting.

The Tudor Suite, however, called for something more distinctive. To match its original oak-panelled walls, we crafted and installed a deep-toned plank floor, creating a richly atmospheric environment reminiscent of a classic gentlemen’s club—a space steeped in luxury, history, and character.
